Paul W. Bates, Esq.
The principal of our office, Paul W. Bates, was born in Buffalo, New York where he attended undergraduate studies. In 1993, Mr. Bates received both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies (with honors) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (with a concentration in finance) from the State University of New York at Buffalo (“U.B.”). Following his graduation from U.B., Mr. Bates relocated to San Diego where he attended law school at California Western School of Law.
In 1996, Mr. Bates completed a Judicial Externship for the Honorable Louise DeCarl Adler, Chief Judge of the California Southern District United States Bankruptcy Court. In 1997, he received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence (J.D.) and in 1998, he began his career as an attorney practicing Civil Litigation for the San Diego based law firm of Suppa, Trucchi & Lee.
In 1999, Mr. Bates left the Suppa office and founded the Law Offices of Bates & Levy, representing consumers in Probate, Personal Injury, Civil Litigation and Workers’ Compensation matters. Mr. Bates continues to represent consumers in these areas as the principal of The Law Offices of Paul W. Bates.
